Retractable Roofs Ardo Hotel Townsville

Awning Worx played an instrumental part in the the development and design of two large outdoor terraces at the new five star Ardo hotel in Townsville Queensland.

This new hotel boast some of the best views in Townsville from the city out to Magnetic Island and the Great barrier Reef.

Awning Worx worked extensively with the design team to create the ideal outdoor spaces which allow for all weather protection from sun and the frequent heavy North Queensland rains but at the same time provide cool well ventilated and shaded areas for guests to relax.

The Level Seven roof top bar houses seven large retractable louvre systems which offer 180 square meters of open sky while enjoying the expansive 360 degree views.

The ground floor has Eight large fabric roofs and connected vertical blinds allowing the patrons of the Japanese Restaurant have a dining experience surrounded the tropical flora.
